English For Today (EFT) in 2015
|
|
|
This course is designed for students wishing to improve
their English for both personal and professional application. EFT allows students
to develop their speaking and listening skills, with an emphasis on contemporary
and idiomatic English.
The course is practical, with the use of video and audio
material, particularly for improvement of pronunciation. Fluency is aimed for,
but a sound grammar base and the correcting of mistakes are not forgotten.
Importantly, every student is invited at the start of each
EFT course to tell their teacher which area of English he or she wishes to improve.

Students come to Edinburgh and want to learn more about our culture and history.
We therefore make it an important part of their course to integrate both aspects
through talks, texts and visiting speakers, giving courses a strong Scottish flavour. |
